Halogen-Free Cable Selection Chart

Halogen Free Picture

Halogen-Free cable and wire should be used where there is an increased need for safety to protect human life and/or valuable materials.  Halogen-free security cable and wire is being used more and more for the areas with a high population density..

For example:

  • Hospitals, airports, in multi-story buildings, stores and shops, hotels, theaters, cinemas, schools, etc.
  • Fire warning plants, alarm systems, ventilation systems, escalators, lifts, safety lights, operation and maintenance equipment.

Advantages:

  • Flame retardant and hardly combustible so that no flame propagation can result in cases of fire.
  • Halogen-free; no danger of corrosive gases.
  • Halogen-free cables emits very little smoke.
  • The danger of toxic gases caused by fire is reduced.
  • Low caloric load.
  • Remarkable longer electrical functionality and flame resistance.
  • Insulation integrity for at least 30 minutes as well as 180 minutes at 800°C in fire.
  • Suitable for emergency uses up to 180 minutes
  • Radiation resistance up to 200x106 cJ/kg (up to 200 Mrad)
